====== eturnal ======

As [[https://github.com/Uberspace/lab/issues/844|issues with coturn]] rendered it unusable most of the time, another solution can be used as drop-in service for [[wp>STUN|STUN]] and [[wp>Traversal_Using_Relays_around_NAT|TURN]]. [[https://eturnal.net|eturnal]] is a modern, straightforward and written in Erlang. Clients can connect using UDP, TCP, or TLS over IPv4 or IPv6. It supports the mechanism described in the [[https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-uberti-behave-turn-rest-00|REST API for Access to TURN Services specification]] for authentication.

===== Basic setup =====

Follow the instructions in the [[https://eturnal.net/documentation/#Installation|eturnal Documentation]] and the [[https://lab.uberspace.de/guide_eturnal/|eturnal — UberLab 7 documentation]] for basic setup. After installation and initial configuration, consider adjustments as follows.

===== Minimize logging =====

The log configuration of eturnal is specified in the ''eturnal.yml'' file. To only log errors, adjust the [[https://eturnal.net/documentation/#log_level|log_level]] as follows:

Afterwards, restart eturnal to apply the new configuration setting.
